Good with yogurt or with milk as a porridge kind of deal, but more protein than oatmeal and the recipe makes 32 servings. It's kind of strange but good and very healthy.

http://milk-and.blogspot.com/2015/09/granola-dust.html

I'm also a fan of making a billion waffles at once and then reheating. I also used a laminated checklist when my girls were younger.
I like to make 'egg cups' and bacon ahead to have ready to heat up. Can be just an egg cracked in a muffin tin or scrambled with fixins in muffin tin. Then I bake the bacon on a cookie sheet and egg tin at 350 for about 12-13 mins. Super easy in the morning and still good reheated.
Btw, you have been such an inspiration to me in being a more relaxed parent and letting kids be kids. Everything in their life doesn't have to be perfectly manicured. I'm way too high-strung and worry about little stuff that doesn't matter. I love you as a momma. Keep doing what you do. I buy lots of options at Sams Club like small hummus, individual peanut butter, cheese sticks or greek yogurt and then they make the choice: one protein, one fruit, one veg & one "treat". Also I literally would take my children's shoes away from them when we walked in the door from church and put them in MY closet until the next time they needed to wear them. Then I let the kids pack their own lunches for the week with the things I pre-made (ie. cut up fruits and veggies baggied, cheese, yogurts). I am in charge of the protein in the meal but they pack the rest. It's not always an easier route but it gives them responsibility. I also don't make them make their beds until after school because bed making in our house TAKE FOR-EVA!!!! And I have no idea why ;) Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06858557024356867869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8165594238100314829.post-38724173059617676622016-08-23T04:10:30.022-07:002016-08-23T04:10:30.022-07:00Omph. forgot. Here's a link to her blog re: mornings
https://www.positivediscipline.com/articles/letting-go-morning-hassles-and-responsibility
I don't love the style of her writing but I think she's got some good tips.
My kids are older-9 & 11- but it's helped us. In particular, working with them to write a list of the jobs they need to do each morning has been good. That way if I see them mooching about I can say "Have you done all the things on your list?". It puts the responsiblity on them rather then me trying to think what they need to do next. I also cut a deal with them that I'd do them a hot breakfast (eggs, porridge, grilled cheese etc) if they made their own lunches. Mornings are tricky for so many of us so I'd affirm the happy revolutions you make but also give yourself grace for those mornings that end up all ArrRFGGGGGGFFFF. Too much time means the kids wander around and deposit their homework or lunches in remote/ unlikely parts of the home and yard. Or they think they have so much time that they lose track of time and then they panic and run out to the car in their bare feet. Keeping breakfasts planned is really helpful too - cutting down on choices in the groggy hours of a school day is a must.mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12388057081854458639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8165594238100314829.post-5582441663355561182016-08-22T12:54:49.618-07:002016-08-22T12:54:49.618-07:00I hate shoes.
