It's a good thing we went camping with friends who have a real camera or else this year's Christmas cards would look like:
(Which actually isn't that bad now that I think of it...)
And it's a good thing I ordered our Christmas cards already because after the girls' meeting with their future teachers it looks like we will be spending all our waking hours consuming math flash cards and How To Read 4 Dummies before everyone gets demoted to Kindergarten.
In the past, if I ever managed to pull together a Christmas card, I've always ordered with Shutterfly and I've always loved them. I like the quality and cute options and the 40% off your order coupon that finds it's way into my inbox every month. No brainer! Mostly I've always, always been really happy with the product. Check a vintage Fike Christmas card here.
Look at us! Profesh photography, coordinated outfits, forcing K to hold my hand while I hold a chicken, trying to conceal the fact that Hero and Mary had just chopped all their hair off. Looks like we really tried to be those (cute) people but after years 2012, 2013, and 2014 fell flat with zero Christmas carding, I think we've tipped the scales back to the kind of family we really are.
You know, regular.
I had the painful decision of choosing the photo of us on a log with 1/3 of the kids looking cute/at the camera, Kirby looking like he had both boys in a death grip, and me looking breezy OR a photo of us on a log with 1/3 looking of the kids looking cute/at the camera, Kirby looking like he had both boys in a death grip, me looking breezy, Mary making a weird face and Hero being a pre-tween brizat. I went with option 2 for obvious reasons (JOE). And then Shutterfly let me put gold words on it. Baddaaaa bing.
(Don't tell Pete and Clem)
I could only order 42 cards so consider this one yours. You know, before Thanksgiving and before anyone should even be allowed to speak of Christmastime but exactly when we should all be posing in jingle bell hats for family photos and ordering our cards. Head over to Shutterfly to peep the selection this year and see what kind of good deal they are offering because they always are. Feel free to use the promo code CARD4U for a free card and check the gold leaf category theyaresocute.
Thanks to Shutterfly for letting me post about them and being a rad sponsor!
