2 min face

In an effort to continually improve my life and the lives of those around me, I like to try and land on products that work and stick with them. As I was getting out the door the other day I was mentally swooning over my beloved beauty products and at how freaking fast I can look semi presentable with their aid. Why have I have not shared with you?? I have no idea. I love seeing other people's beauty regiments, so here is mine - the 2 min face, or 1 min if you're always late like moi.

Step 1. Juice Beauty Tinted Moisturizer. Ok JUICE. Freaking Juice. I am consistently so happy with their stuff. This tinted moisturizer is no diff. It's thicker than my old bb cream which took some getting used to but I love it now! Creamy and smooth and smells so light and fresh. The coverage is super good.

Step 2. Puerto Vallarta all up in this bish. This lip/cheek tint by Nars has been my fave for years. I am never leaving it. It's the perfect bright creaminess. Plus, the name. Like, hi, Mexico all day long.

Step 3. Random mascara. I currently use this and I'm happy with it but not in love. I have yet to fall in love with mascara. What do you love? Help me.

Step 4. Lips. Either a swipe of my staple Un-Petroleum Jelly or a bit of this lip balm if I'm feeling medium fancy or my fave nude lipstick if I'm feeling FANCY.

Guys! That's it! Badda freaking bing, bb.

(I even tested it out right before I had to leave to pick the kids up from school so I could be, like, so real.) (1 MIN!) (Hence the mediocre blush blending) (¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

  1. 1, you are beautiful with or without make -up. 2, So the cheek tint.. I need a tutorial on how to use those. I just remember my mom in the 90s taking her bright lipstick and warrior-style painting that stuff on their so I've been afraid.. very afraid to use color on the cheek that didn't fall from some loose powder type thing. But THAT IS A MESS! So I want to like the cheek tints and stains. I really do. 3rd. I have the worst eyelashes.. and everything clumps. but randomly the Mary Kay regular standard Mascara works for me.. buuuut you gotta find someone who sells it..

    1. I don't know if I'm doing it right but I just smile and smear it across the apples of my cheeks then blend! Feels so much easier than power blush and the color is way more saturated.

  2. My all-time fave mascara -- and I'm a junkie, so I've tried most things -- is Smashbox X-Rated. It'll up your time a little, because to really get the wow factor you need 2-3 coats, but it's worth the effort.

  3. Totally didn't scroll down to the after picture and thought "Wow, she does look put together!" bUT I've been looking for a plz-give-me-better-coverage bb cream so *thank you*!

I like Almay's for _____eyes (brown for moi, which is actually a slightly purpleish mascara?!) Because the brush is nice and big, and doesn't hurt the base of my eyelashes when I apply it. And it's pretty cheap! ALSO ALSO ALSO Simple makes this:

Which is the best things since sliced bread to remove makeup, and doesn't feel oily! I can have my contacts in and not be blinded by fuzzy vision when I take my eye makeup off. My roommate turned me on to this and have been singing its praises to every child of God I meet.

  4. I thought your before was your after--you look great both ways! And Diorshow mascara has been my favorite for at least the past 10 years--every time I try to branch out I always end up going back!

  5. That blush looks perfect.

The mascara I love, and that makes me look like I slept more than 4 hours is Two Faced's "Better than sex."

    And it almost is. Almost.

    2. Too faced "better than sex" is kinda flakey, which some prefer but if you prefer a smoother formula try Tarte lights camera lashes.. I prefer that one more than "better than sex" but the too faced one has way better packaging. By which I mean the packaging doesn't break easily.
I've been thinking about trying something from the Juice brand so thanks for the review. It is fun to read makeup reviews from fellow Mom's cause we all have limited time for ourselves!

    3. Oh I meant not flakey by fibrous like it doesn't flake off but it's really lash enhancing and full which can look like too much on some people. K there's my full review, lol.

  6. First off: you have fab skin to begin with. Gorgeous! Second: our routine is pretty much the same. I just add in a little bronzer. I have yet to find a mascara I love. I keep coming back to L'oreal Voluminous Original. I have been using it on and off since I was 18. I have spent a lot on mascara and bought the cheapest possible. This one is cheap and works well. I'm still searching for something better though.

  7. Cheap good mascara: L'Oreal telescopic mascara

My favorite ever: Benefit They're Real (primer and mascara).

Lip balm tdf: Smith's rosebud salve

  9. Yes! Tutorial! Please! (I'm currently re-training a toddler to say "please" after the, "surprise! new sibling" regress -- I should set a good example).

  10. I use some of the same products because of time/quality! Seriously consider trying Cover girl Lashblast Volume Mascara. (Orange packaging) It's at any drugstore, so affordable. I've tried tons of other, more expensive, mascaras and hated all of them haha. Insider tip, take a tissue wrap it around the wand to wipe off the excess product before applying. Gives you such a natural (but better) look!

  11. I've been a long time seeker of the perfect mascara, and I've finally found mine- it's Jane Iredale, the primer/conditioner plus the black mascara on top of that. It's the bomb.

  12. Whoa you look awesome. I LOVE Tarte Mascara. It makes your eyelashes super long with one coat and doesn't flake with contacts. They make a clay version if you prefer natural stuff.

  13. I'm very pro drugstore mascara. I really like covergirl the green one. It's called clump crusher by lashblast.
I just use bronzer instead of blush but now I want to try a cheek tint!

  14. I like LANCÔME definicils. Other mascara just ends up under my eyes.

  18. This is so random, but what shade do you use of the Juice Beauty Tinted Moisturizer? I feel like my skin color is similar to yours and I don't know whether to go lighter or darker?
