we had some real good summertime weather here last weekend. it's funny, by september i am so angry at california for not having seasons. by december, i am down in the dumps wishing we had snow... but by march...man, oh man, am i ready for sunshine. i should really shape up my attitude, i know.i just love it here when it's hot outside... the days get longer and slower...we do everything outside. we have bare feet and we eat fruit and we cook our food outside and we swim and the babes don't wear very much in terms of clothing. it's by far one of my most favorite times of the year (as long as the heat is happening when it should). anyway, last weekend we got a glimpse of what is to come. i spread out our blankey under our favorite tree and read while mary jumped in her bouncy thing. hero sat in a puddle left over from the morning sprinklers and chased bees. we even drank home made sweet tea... perfect.
